In all honesty, there didn't really seem to be much to Raccoon City. Average town, average place, average people. Of course no one knew the shit that was going to hit the fan. Not that it wasn't already. A Yakuza assassin was hunting one of the Triad's enforcers, and he had tracked the son of a bitch down to a warehouse somewhere in Raccoon City. This wasn't a vacation. One was running for his life, the other was looking to get paid. They had already left several dead bodies on their way to Raccoon City. It wasn't a destination, more or less it was just a passing place for the target. Trying to get away from certain death. The man hunting him wasn't called Shi No Tenshi for just shits and giggles. He was death personified.
Clouds seemed to be breaking across the moonlit sky, light still hitting the surface of the planet. The streets were well lit in some areas, not so much in others. But that was perfect for Ichi. He rather enjoyed the ever encompassing darkness that grasped at the world. Where there was a will there was a way, and where there were shadows there was a way to do it without being seen.
Eyes flickered up as they scanned the warehouse, an eerier emptiness hanging in the air. Nothing seemed to stir while he made his way towards a side entrance, noting the lock physically removed from the door. Casting his gaze upwards a bit, he noticed that the moon was now blocked out by the clouds hanging overhead. Perhaps an ill omen, perhaps just another cloudy night. But the air wasn't it's eloquent self. Something seemed amiss. He dismissed such thoughts though, and proceeded inside the warehouse to finish this job once and for all.
*Jin Ke as his name was known through the ranks of the Triad. He was very well paid for his job. That is what caused the contract on his head. He was good, very good at his job. Shi was to the Yakuza as Jin is to the Triad. They both were the best in the game and both hated to loose. They had left a trail of pain and bruises some of it their own but most of it anyone unlucky enough to be caught in the way. Chicago is where Shi put a bullet in Jin's shoulder but it was Philly where Jin had put the slim throwing spike through Shi's left hand. It was a give and take New York would have seen one of the two dead but the fucking Fed's had to get involved. Which meant Jin fled in the haze and uproar. He had on him a busted lip he was nursing a gun shot wound and a few bruises. Shi had no doubt had a few bruises to boot. After all never go fist to fist with an Enforcer. But then again one thing is Yakuza Assissins are very resourceful when it comes to hand to hand.*
*The warehouse where Jin took the time to rest was four blocks from the Raccoon City Zoo. He thought he had at least three hours time on Shi. But like any good man he was still on edge. And being in a City that was just booming a few hours again then just got quit had him even more twitchy. The police scanner he had on the table next to him was just oddly silent. He was glaring at thing in thought. His voice was heavy with a Chinese accent. But his english was perfect.* Hmmmmmm.... This is going to be a very interesting evening to say the least. *With that he reached up grabbed the flask that was on table took a long gulp of the harsh burning liquid. Something he need to dall the pain in his shoulder but not enough to dall his senses.*
Ichi wasn't a man that liked being toyed with. And that was exactly what Jin Ke was doing. Toying. He wouldn't take the consequences of his actions with all due responsibility. Of course, that's what happens when you brutally beat a Yakuza boss to death with his own bokken. Now Jin had a hefty price out on his head, and the contract was given to none other than the Shi No Tenshi. The Angel of Death they called him. He was a very resourceful man, always completing his contracts in a timely manner with absolutely no evidence that one single person issued the hit. He was discreet, but could also leave an example. In fact, it was Ichi himself who had left Jin's boss with a fifty caliber hole in his head during a birthday party for the man's eight year old son. No one ever said Ichi had a heart.
Making sure not to make a solitary sound, Ichi opened the door and slipped inside. Not even an animal would know he was there. The white coat was pulled tightly around his body, keeping the warmth in. Unfortunately for Jin, his police scanner came alive as the operator came on to report a strange sighting at the zoo. Of course he may not even bother worrying about it coming on, but the strange sighting might have him worried. Could mean that Ichi was on the way and close by as well. Regardless, Ichi was making his move.
As soon as he was at the top of the stairs, he rolled into the office with both of his pistols pulled, though he didn't fire. Silencers were attached at the muzzle end of both of his firearms, and a look of determination was crossing his visage. His left hand was bandaged but stable, and it didn't seem to be bothering him. He had Jin dead in his sights, and could have easily finished the job. But there was a bigger price on his head for bringing him back alive rather than dead. He was meant to be made an example of and sent back to his bosses. Not simply removed. Ichi's English was perfect, and he didn't carry a heavy accent of any kind.
"My client wants you alive, and that's what they're going to get. Do you really think you'll make it out of here in one piece?"
*Jin Ke's eye's rolled up with a sly smile that spread acrossed his lips. He took in Shi's words with thought. He looked down at the table and then to Shi again before he said.* Do you really think you'll make it out here in one piece? *In less then a second the table that he had been behind flipped over with a hard knee to it from underneath. As the table spun in the hair towards Shi. It was Jin that jumped through the glass off the office with his hand guarding his face. He hit the steel catwalk rolling into the impact and then to his feet where grabbed the edge of the railing and hurled himself off the side. Bullet's whizzing by him like mini lead bee's. He'd land into a roll on a large box create then fall off it's side to disappearing into the body of the large warehouse. He had splitter in his hands. A glass shard in his arm that he pulled out and tossed. It had been only a flesh wound.*
*Jin slowly made his way to through the Warehouse it was at that point as Shi was searching for Jin and Jin was hiding from him waiting for the right moment to strike that a large ear piercing nails on a chalkboard scratch was heard against the metal of the warehouse walls. Followed by long moans and groans that were not of pleasure that was for damn sure. Jin was hidden deep in the shadows as he called out to Shi.* Bring some back up did you? Is the infamous Shi No Tenshi loosing his touch. *He had called that out when a few were placed nearly into his face but was stopped by a large wooden create he decided to move farther away into the darkness and the warehouse.*
Ichi paid no heed to the scratchings at the walls. A vagrant probably. Nothing more. At this point though, Jin was severely pissing him off. He was off in the warehouse, playing cat and mouse. Ichi was to the point of saying fuck it and just taking back the bastard's head. At least they would have something to send to the Triads as a message. Holstering his firearms beneath his coat, his right hand moved to slowly slide the katana from beneath the back of the coat. The coat was long enough to hide it all, more a device than a piece of clothing, and the sword was placed lower on his back.
"Sorry Jin, but your pathetic antics won't save you here. Do you honestly think I'll let your homeless friends deter me? This ends here my friend. I think I'll renege on the bring back alive request. I don't so much like you alive. Your head is mine Jin Ke."
Then silence. Ichi was stalking Jin as if he were an animal. Of course, Ichi had the advantage, he was on top of the crates below them, and had easily found his prey. Dropping down behind Jin, he kneed him in the back and struck him in the back of the head with his elbow. He wanted more of a fight though. He wasn't about to just behead him now and leave his pent up frustration unchecked. Lowering the blade against the floor behind him he charged his target, slashing awkwardly at an angle and upwards before immediately coming around and slashing down with two hands. His body twisted at the core before his foot planted with the man's stomach, spinning back into place with an outward slash across his chest, catching him just briefly and shredding clothing in the process. Ichi smirked towards Jin, flinging the blood free of his blade before lunging out at him again.
The fighting was fast paced, and more scratching could be heard around the warehouse. Neither seemed to pay any attention to it though as they were solely focused on one another. It was a back and forth battle of one upmanship, though Ichi held the upperhand for the duration of the fight. Finally though, he had brought the blade down on the man's shoulder and they were face to face, the sadistic smirk growing wider on the assassin's face as he watched his quarry grimace in pain.
"It looks like you've finally lost my friend."
Unbeknownst to them, all hell was about to break loose. They were just the precursor to an even greater battle that was to come. The sky seemed to darken if that was even at all possible, and the air grew still. The scratching stopped but the moaning only increased before the door began to open slowly, the moaning now filling the warehouse. And the stench of death grew ever dominant.
*Jin rolling with the knee to his back come to his feet with ease. He faced his opposite with a smirk on his lips. The first slash that came awkwardly at Jin was easily dodge. The downward slash was simpler to move by which gave Shi the opening to get a great gut shot with hard kick to the stomach sending Jin back a couple steps. The slash to his chest came before he got his footing and the fact it hadn't been deep was the fact Jin danced his way from a worse cut so the thin line acrossed his chest was enough to make him shift stances. The fighting was great one would even say awe inspiring.*
*But it was Jin's turn as spun in a dance his leather jacket slipping from his shoulder like a second skin. Jin grabbed it by the sleeve as he fell free. Using like a whip and a wrap mixed he spin that jacket around the blade of the sword at that second trapping it in the coat and against his shoulder. Which he grimaced from the impact. The blade was trapped and held from slicing into the flesh of his shoulder but the impact was never stopped. Blunt force was all that was left and even then that stung. Jin just smirked at his opponents comment.*
*But Jin's eye's went wide as he saw what was coming out of the shadow's behind Shi. Jin with a quick twist of his body doing a little spin had yanked the sword from Shi's hand when he hit the height of the spin. He flung the coat outward putting a spin on the sword as it shot like a dart from the coat. The tip of that sword hitting the undead thing with it's throat turned out straight in the chest knocking the Zombie to the ground. He used the jacket he had like a whip pulling the legs out from underneath the next undead thing that was missing half it's chest causing that Zombie to fall backward on the back of it's neck with a snap. It's was Jin that turned the corn of his eye's to Shi.* It's safe to say that they arn't your friends.
Ichi pulled his firearms from his coat and placed one directly on Jin's shoulder, firing it into the chest of one of the things that was coming up behind them. The damn thing went down, but it started to get back up again. That caused Ichi to quirk a brow. It was a shot to center mass, that fucking thing should have been dead. Another round, once more it went down. And once more it began to get back up again. This wasn't exactly going as he had planned. A simple contract, easy money. But no, this fucking bastard had led him all the way to bumfuck nowhere, and now there seemed to be something else arising as another problem.
"What in the hell, why won't these things fucking die?"
The next round placed deep between the eyes, drilling a hole and spreading brains out against the warehouse doors behind it. Finally it seemed to drop to the ground and not move. Interesting, though he wasn't really sure if it was because of the devestation to the brain or simply enough damage to do the trick. Either way, in the head seemed to be the quickest way to drop these fucking things.
"Take off the head, put a bullet in it, either way that seems to be the easiest way to kill these things. And don't look now, but more of your little buddies are getting in. I think it's about time we get the fuck out of here. I'm willing to put aside our differences if you are. We can always continue our little fiasco at a later date. If there is one."
The thing about two killers, especially a seasoned assassin like Ichi, you knew when something was a menace. When it was wanting to kill you. These things, they weren't looking to make friends, that much was fucking evident. Making his way over to the dropped bodies, he retrieved his katana and decapitated the two downed bodies before they could get up. Looking over his shoulder he quirked his brow at his adversary.
"You have a gun?"
*He smirked wickedly knowing this was just going irk Ichi showing that Jin didn't really take the Japanese man serious during there little encounter. He knelt down pulled out of a ankle holster a snubbed nose .38 special. He even undid the sleeves of shirt afterward rolling them up to reveal two sets on each arm of sheaths that wrapped around his forearms. The set on his left arm was the throwing Spikes. Ichi would notice one out of the 16 mission. The other two on the right forearm held 8 throwing knives. He held out the revolver popping the cylinder out to make sure everything good then popped it back in place.* Yeah sound fun. So, We get to the BMW at the other end of the building and we may get a chance to play a little more. *He said with a chuckle in his voice.*
*He ran up a create grabbing the top of the large wooden box and hosted himself up. He took the little .38 Special into his left hand as his right extended to Itchi. When the little Japanese man leap up grabbing Jin's hand. Jin would pull him up to where he was. They were well out of reach of the things that seem to just grow in number at the very moment. He scanned the area looking for the next best way to the BMW.* Hmmmmm.... Can you clear a path of them over there in case i fall? *He ask as he pointed to another set of large creates that was just barely in jumping range.*
Ichi cast his gaze over to the aforementioned crates, looking down to the things that were trying to get at them. Easy enough. He leaned over, taking a heavy swipe at the group in front of him so they wouldn't grab ahold of him as he crossed the great divide. Four heads rolled to the ground before he backed up. Taking a running start he lifted off and his body twisted, going upside down with a quick and vibrant slash of his arm, going upright again as he just did catch the edge of the crate. The group of seven that had gathered now lie bleeding out on the floor, no heads to call their own. Looking back across he motioned for Jin to go.
"All good. Now let's get the fuck out of here."
Ichi was already off, bounds and leaps ahead of Jin as he cleared the way from atop the crates. It was at this point that he unsheathed another sword from beneath the coat. No sense in wasting ammunition. He could only wonder what had created such monsters. Was it military? Nature? Something else entirely? Never the less, he and his adversary were pretty adamant about getting the fuck out of this town in one piece. Two killer instincts were better than one, and they stood better chances. And when they got out, the first thing Ichi was going to do was put a bullet in Jin's skull. No hesitation.
The visceral beauty of the dance of death that took place in that warehouse was something Hollywood would drool over. But the only thing on their minds was getting the hell out, and they were almost there. Ichi hit the controls so the doors would open. And that was when they saw the rain pouring down, and all of the bodies lined up in front of the warehouse. They had already killed maybe twenty, maybe thirty of those things. And there were at least another fifteen to twenty outside. Ichi saw a shot though and he knew he was going to take it.
"Wait here, I'll grab the car. Just keep those fucking things off me and get ready to jump in, looks like a convertible, so we won't be able to get too far. I say we head to the gun shop ten blocks down. We can get equipped and then find something more suitable. Don't know what the fuck is going on but I don't think there's going to be many doing anything about it."
And with that he took off down the side of the parking lot, slicing and cutting his way towards the car. Some of the fuckers didn't seem too smart or fast, but others were a bit quicker. Those were the ones he was more worried about. After dropping six or seven of the damned things, he resheathed the swords and dove into the car after blowing the window out with one well aimed shot, scrambling to get it hotwired so they could get out of there. Once the engine was alive, he got into position after holstering his firearm and made a break for the warehouse, putting the convertable top down. Glass was all in the car but he had swept enough of it into the floor.
"Get in!"
*Four Sheaths later and many laid to rest Jin and Itchi had found themselves crouched on top of a large storage unit that allowed them to face out the big open door that allowed large trucks in. He took in a deep breath checking the .38 Special one more time. 6 shot and he had better make each count. He knelt on one knee taking aim as soon as Itchi took off Jin had himself ready. There was one well placed round in the right of a lunging corpse that seem to dodge Itchi's sword play. Two more very well placed rounds in two 11 and 13 year old child walking corpses that was easy to miss through the adult looking things. The two more rounds were placed right in there mark splattering brain over cement. But it was that last round that showed him that taking out the spine would also work fast. The damn corpse nearly had Itchi when he dove into the car but the shot that hit it's neck went right through the spine. The body dropped like a sack of wet tomatoes.*
*He watched Itchi mowing down anything that was unlucky enough to get infront of that car. The wind shield was spiderwebbed with cracks by the time he was in the entrance of the warehouse just over the large storage unite. Jin leaped off the top of the storage unite rolling the revolver in his hands as he landed on the back seat of the car he came up swing clocking a few stray skulls with it that were attempting to climb into the car to get at Itchi and himself. Giving the man driving time to focus on slamming it in reverse and getting them the hell out of there. When the car was in motion he leaped into the passenger seat. Next to Itchi spinning the revolver in his hand like he was a gunslinger.* To bad I just busted this little beauty up. *He sighed before chucking it behind them to watch it clip a stray undead.*
